These are the hair trends that will succeed this season
In these months in which we have had to fix our hair ourselves (many times with the virtual advice of our hairdressers) we have discovered something that we were not aware of: how much we need them. For this reason, and now that we can visit them in their salons –following all the protection measures–, we can now put ourselves in their hands to update our look to this season's hair trends.
For this we have collected the proposals of some of the best hairdressers in our country, and all of them agree that beauty resides in the simple, simple and everyday.
This summer's trends are much more than a passing fad or a superfluous pose that expires due to the lack of its own weight. Now what arises is a new era, a new order that comes to stay, to stagger the futile things and to teach us to appreciate the essential. Rafael Bueno, artistic director of Rafael Bueno Hairdressers (Malaga) explains that "If times change, our hair changes with them. My clients in the living room have returned with a much more emotional attitude that makes them appreciate all the details, however small they may be. They ask me for color, but also many cuts. They are more daring, although they are practical and they want their hair to be easy to maintain and care for. The idea is to wash and be ready in a moment and to achieve this the cut must be very precise"
Pixie for hipsters and creators of their new order
We know that our hair is important, but we don't want it to rob us of time. The most natural and carefree styles are those that are succeeding in the return to the salons. Alexander Kiryliuk, director of SK Style Barcelona, bet on the shorts in all its variants. ”Our clients have come wanting changes and want to get rid of the old image. Pixies with more or less long bangs are comfortable and flattering. I bet on this type of cut for this season, the shorts always appear in socially crucial moments. "
Color to reflect the strength of our new self
But if the cut expresses how we feel, we cannot ignore the importance of color. The most striking tones always appear in times of rebellion and social and thought transformations. That is why we are very struck by the predilection for more contending tones such as blue or red with roots that Dua Lipa has worn. Felicitas Ordás, founder of Felicitas Hair (Mataró, Barcelona), confirms it, "shades like blue, pink or violet are no longer just eccentric artists, it is a trend that has come down to the street because we feel that we can take charge of our lives. Social networks have democratized trends and the public dares with cuts and colors that previously seemed exclusive to an extravagant lifestyle. Now we are all equally important and we claim our public space. "
Shaggy, recover the wisdom of the past to renew ourselves
Past eras are always inspiration and the seventies still have a lot to offer us. Shaggy is another of the cuts that gives us naturalness with its paraffin tips and layered cut with a lot of texture. Gonzalo Zarauza, image consultant, trainer and hairdresser (San Sebastián), confirms this. "We need the hair to express vitality and we achieve this with agile cuts, such as shaggy, so that the hair moves freely. At this moment we feel the need to be spontaneous and we are moved by everything that is honest, really. A good cut has always been a shot of energy, but now, it goes further because it has a therapeutic effect. A good change of image supposes an almost cathartic liberation ”.
Bob Blunt Cut, the essence is always powerful
Another cut of the season is the Bob Blunt Cut, a cut that allows us to be strongly favored and with an updated image. As explained Rachel Saiz, of Blue Room (Torrelavega, Santander), "It is more versatile than it seems and we can wear it with bangs or without it, smooth or curly, ideal for when we need to clean ends or emotions, and that also allows us to pick it up at any given time. This cut in the living room is the one that wants a change, but does not dare with more radical cuts. "
Bangs and cuts that break schemes
Light bangs also follow the mood of the moment and Rosalía and Bella Hadid are an example. Very long, unwrapped and that respect the natural fall of each hair, and the same happens with the cuts, as the stylist tells us José García, founder of José García Hairdressers (Pamplona): "During these months of confinement, the clients have returned with longer measures, so they take the opportunity to wear blunt and paraded cuts to achieve movement and freedom, which is just what we most crave at the moment ».
